Andrew Rasken has more than 10 years of diverse general management, development, and operations experience with both national solar energy and real estate development firms. He is positive, energetic and has a passion for real estate, renewable energy and sustainable development. Andrew is an accomplished business leader with a proven track record of success, and a strong ability to vision future growth. He has a particular talent for quickly identifying new potential markets that drive revenue growth and deliver strong, steady bottom line profit.
At the age of 28, Andrew Rasken founded and managed a solar energy development and construction company, where he originated and constructed over 1,000,000 square feet of solar energy systems atop commercial, industrial and municipal facilities throughout the Northeast. He has extensive knowledge of solar energy financing after having developed and financed over $80 million in solar energy projects in his career.
After completing the sale of his solar energy company, he transitioned to the Director of Acquisitions for a boutique student housing real estate developer. Alongside the partners, Andrew contributed to the origination and acquisition of several Tier 1, Class A student-housing land acquisition and existing rehabilitation sites throughout the country. He was part of origination, due diligence and contract negotiations team for over $120 million in site acquisition, construction and disposition of approximately 1000-beds of ground-up and rehabilitation student housing developments including the University of Michigan, UC-Berkeley, and Johns Hopkins University colleges.
He lives in Miami with his wife and young son.
